So we got our copies of the Yellow Swans/Oakeater split 12" that we did with Black Horizons. We don't have that many but we got them for you. So head to the store.

While you are there you should also notice that we have new blsphm cdrs available. It's from as edition of 20 copies and we only get to have 15 to sell. This is the second to last new blsphm thing to come out for awhile. Well, third from last if you count the "blacked" anti-record (w/cdr) that will be released very soon. There will be a another anti-casssette in an edition of 15 copies out newt week sometime titled torn with a long harsh bit of noise buried beneath a mountain of ancient nails and foliage. Good luck.

Waiting on Great Falls cassettes to arrive but that will be awhile as National Audio Company is still taking a much, much longer time to produce cassettes. 45 minutes of harsh blackened noise and hatred.

Sculptural cassettes that are covered in antique nails, paper, hot glue and razor blades. Each is hand painted with enamel paint and each is unique.
All cassettes comes with three miniature art cards and packaged in an anti-static bag. There is no digital copy of this track and will not be released in any other form. Playing these cassettes is not impossible but it can be difficult. It is also possible to cut yourself on these or have them destroy their own packaging. You have been warned.

ÆGES cassette available now. ÆGES is the new post hardcore band featuring members of Pelican, Shift, Undertow, 16 and the Rise. Two songs from their debut 7" on Hawthorne Street Records and two demo versions of the same tracks. Limited to 150 copies and featuring new artwork by Demian Johnston. Most are available from the band at their live shows but we have some here for you as well.

A couple new Demian Johnston releases.

We got a couple new cdrs from Demian Johnston. He is getting ready to record for his release on Handmade Birds and has come up with some extra tracks to share with us. First is a collection of tow live tracks from the last couple years. One track in Eugene, Or and one in Seattle, Wa. The first 15 copies were handpainted by the artist there are only a couple of those left.

The second is an ep titled "blsphm". Two dark and grim tracks focusing on vocals, piano and horns. The first 8 copies come with an original sketch form the artist.

Coming up soon is a huge volley of releases. We are almost caught up.

Shipping adjustments and resolutions.

Alright so we changed the shipping costs in the shopping cart to make it a bit easier on everyone's iWallets or whatever exists out there now. I hope that makes you feel fantastic.

Resolutions:

1. To have DA 007 & 0013 out by or before March. It's been way way way way too long for these and they are really really good. Multiple packaging changes and cancelations and then Hemingway changing their name to Great Falls caused a grip of delays. They are coming.

2. To actually have sound samples on either this site or in the shopping cart. There are a few there now if you search around but We don't think you should have to search. We just need to get permission from a lot of artists.

3. FIx the Myspace page. Myspace is a ghost town full of dog shit these days but we think it still serves a purpose. It's like those signs on the side of the highway that let you know when you are approaching an exit which direction and how far the Hardy's is. Helpful. We think we are going to remove the sound samples except for an exclusive track now and then. We also think all coupon codes will be there for now on.

4. To focus on starting a tape of the month club. We need at least 100 people to say they are interested and we will do it. spread the word. The club will start in late 2011 and have exclusive tapes from various existing and future Dead Accents artists. Think big.

5. To stop scheduling 10000000 projects without having them ready to go.

Holy shit. I thought this would never happen but here they are. One sided 12" of some of Hemingway's first studio recordings. Less noise but more in the rock, drone, noise, folk type vibe. Kinda hard to explain. Originally slated to be released on the now defunct Rome Plow Records this is now a split label release. Limited to 300 copies. Purchase this wonderful almost lost piece of weirdo history.

Two new Demian Johnston cassettes plus news.

First is a split with Dried Up Corpse (Stan Reed of Blue Sabbath Black Cheer). Limited to 50 copies and with artwork by Demian. Going fast already.

Second we have a solo release from Demian. Two tracks with the first being a live track recorded at the Josephine a few months back. The second tracks is an audio collage made up of various live bits.

Good news!
The covers for Ardent Vein have been printed and look fantastic thanks to Andrew Crawshaw of Broken Press (also a partner in this endeavor we call Dead Accents). It will still be a few weeks until those are available but i can't recommend them more. Think of all the best moments from any Sunn 0))) record and mix in some Throbbing Gristle and Tribes of Neurot and you are getting close. This is heavy, dark and very fucking grim. There will be 100 copies of this soon to be legendary release. Buy two, one for you and one for eBay.

The printing for a few other releases should be done this week as well. The Trap Them cassette (which shoudl be available at their LA show for POWER OF THE RIFF), the Great Falls/Pastor Tonal split cdr (Feat. Ryan McKinney of Trap Them doing vocals on the Great Falls tracks), and a top secret project that should be available in mere weeks and has never been mentioned here before.

This Blinding Light's intense live performance was captured at the Josephine with Scott Colburn of Sun City Girls and should be ready to go shortly as well as a cassette limited to 77 copies.

Great Falls & Kenji Siratori have a couple projects coming out in the near future and the first is a five song cassette. Totally voice destruction by Kenji Siratori and synth and guitar driven tracks by the boys in Great Falls.

First things first. Our online store is humming along and i am even finding it a bit difficult to keep up with the orders. I have decided to reward everyone that has bought something in the last four months on the store with a discount. I will keep it up a few days or at least until a few people have taken advantage. There are two more Mamiffer/Oakeater boxes going out and then everyone but the bands have theirs. Then I will get both Mamiffer and Oakeater their copies. It shouldn't take too long but these things take forever to make. It's nuts.

So we have a few things we need to let you all know about.

First, the Mamiffer/Oakeater boxes are done. Or at least are in a state of being done. As i finish them off i am shipping them. The international orders have all received theirs and now the domestic people should be expecting theirs shortly. I apologize for the very long delay. There has been a few hiccups along the way but i am very pleased with the final product. If you want one you will have to contact either Mamiffer of Oakeater (they have not received their copies yet but will soon). All our copies are sold out.

Next, we did in fact print up 50 copies of Trap Them's newest EP on cassette for Scion Fest. They sold out in less than three hours. They were a slimmed down version of the final we will be releasing. There will be an additional 250 copies with really beautiful and elaborate screen printed packaging by Andrew Crawshaw and Justin Bartlett. I will let you all know when pre orders will go up. I just want to make sure that you will not have to wait long from pre orders to receiving them.

We have a few copies of Demian Johnston's "The Swan of Mantua" cdr from his NW tour with Al Qaeda. Fans of Barn Owl and Yellow Swans should take note. There are tentative plans to repress this as a one sided 12" with art and design by someone awesome.

Mamiffer/Oakeater 2xcs box, Trap Them cassette, Tour Merch...

Alright, well in short the first of the Mamiffer/Oakeater 2xcs boxes have started to go out. The couple international orders should be in the system shortly and in your hands soon. The domestic orders should be going out right after that. It's a bit crazier than i ever thought for such a huge hunk of wood. I am so excited people get to hear these tracks. I will post a picture asap.

Trap Them's cassette version of "filth rations" will be available from Dead Accents within the next few weeks. The advanced version of 50 copies went with them to Scion Fest and sold out in less than two hours. Word is that Trap Them destroyed that night. We wish we could have been there. The next version of 250 will be amazing, complete with Justin Bartlett's excellent illustrations. We are very proud.

Demian Johnston is playing a few shows out of town with Al Qaeda at the end of this month. Here are the dates:

Here is the latest Demian Johnston cassette. It's pretty heavy and super noisy. Like way overblown and totally fucked. Features drums by one Mr. Andrew Crawshaw as well. It's kinda a big deal. Only 100 of them in nice screenprinted packaging. Buy them so i can make more tapes...

And speaking of Andrew Crawshaw, here is the new Shining Ones cassette. Their first show without Demian as a vocalist (He have since left Shining Ones to focus more time on his new daughter and his full time project, Great Falls.) Limited to 50 copies and going fast. Good news on the Dead Accents front. Firstly, the Mamiffer boxes are screened and they look awesome. I will post some picture here shortly of the assembly process. And that is about all that is left. It's a bit of a process but it looks as if they will finally be shipping out very soon. So good to hear. We also have a short update on a bunch of upcoming projects...

-Mt. Henderson/Demian Johnston split cs

Mt. Henderson is the solo project of Morgan Henderson of the Blood Brothers. He will be contributing half a cassette with Demian Johnston (Great Falls, Hemingway, our founder..) that will be designed by both fellows and limited to about 100 copies. That is well on it's way to completion so keep an eye out.

-Blowupnihilist cdr

Blowupnihilist's new cdep is almost ready to go as well. limited to 100 copies and screenprinted by Andrew Crawshaw of Broken Press. Any day now.

-Shining Ones cs

A few weeks back Shining Ones played a rare instrumental set in Seattle and it was very well received. It was recorded by Kurt Delaney of Sparkle Girl and will be mastered and placed on a cassette in a couple weeks.

After hemingway changed it's name to Great Falls we had to change the layout for this release. The A Death Cinematic tracks are so good it's a shame we have taken so long with this. Hopefully we will be forgiven. Very excited for this one.

The layout on this one is crushing. Photos by Chris Johnston and design by Andrew Crawshaw. Rumor has it that Andrew will be printing these in CMYK in an oversized format. This will really be a testament to what Andrew is capable of and we are proud to show it off. If you have not heard Wooden Teeth please search them out.

I really apologize to everyone involved in my next two projects. The mamiffer/oakeater box lids and booklets are still at the printers with no solid arrival date as of yet but I am assured that it will be sooner than later. I am going to figure out a small gift for each of the people who pre-ordered the boxes as an apology. Thank you again for your understanding. The other project i was referring to would be the A Death Cinematic/Hemingway split. I have not put those up for pre-order but i think those should be done soon as well. There is still printing to be done with that and Hemingway has to finalize their pieces. The A Death Cinematic tracks are so excellent that i hate not having them out already. I have a feeling everything is going to come out almost on top of each other.

Harshfest is coming up this November and Dead Accents will be releasing a Blowupnihilist cdr advanced version for the show. They are almost finally assembled, just waiting on some bags to arrive. There will be 20 or so copies available for this release in different packaging from the final edition of 100.

Things are moving forward but there has been another delay in the boxes. Due to Flatstock in Seattle my printer had to push things back another week or so. So after a the lids get screened it should only be about a week until they are assembled and shipped. Thanks for your patience.

Yup, thanks in a big way to Hydrahead's posting this morning, we have run out of both DA 025 and the preorders for DA 006. Thanks to everyone who go tin touch so quickly. We will be sending Oakeater and Mamiffer more than a few copies of DA 006 so you may want to get in touch with them when the time comes and also look at Twee Death in the next few weeks. There should be a few copies there. We still have a small handful of Insect Explosion, Sparkle Girl and Demian Johnston cassettes but under ten of each. There is some of both the new Hemingway releases that were made for their NW tour with Mamiffer left.

In the next month or two there will be a string of releases finally available. I would expect the Kenji Siratori/Hemingway 2xcdr, blowupnihilst cdr, Shining Ones cs and The Tin Noses Shop cdr to all be done in the next month and a half. Right after the Mamiffer/Oakeater 2xcs box ships. Then hopefully before Xmas is upon us the A Death Cinematic/Hemingway split cdr and the Wooden Teeth/Demian Johnston split cdrs should be here. Next we hope to have the Everlovely Lightningheart cs and the rest of the current catalog coming out right after that.

DA 025 Mamiffer cassette! (plus one?)

So I just released a Mamiffer cassette for the Mamiffer/Hemingway NW tour. It featured a new track with Faith and Alex (of Oakeater) called Throes and a live track for a Chicago show called Ptarmigan. on the A side. You may also notice that on the B side after a couple minutes of crowd sounds there is another track. This is a live Oakeater song. It appeared on the tape by mistake but it is a happy accident. So for the 38 of you that have this cassette, feel lucky, you have a new Mamiffer/Oakeater split. Thanks to Faith for catching this and thanks to Oakeater for not being too mad at me. I am a huge fan of Oakeater and am very pleased to release more of their work into the world. Even if by accident.

There is a few copies going to a distributor and each band gets a handful so when all is said and done there will only be 8 of these available through Dead Accents. Some due to size and weight (mamiffer/oakeater 2xcs boxes for example) are a bit more... For international customers i have added a extra pull down bar for shipping. Not much to report as we have been out of town touring and not sleeping. The best news is that by the time the Mamiffer/Hemingway NW tour in July happens, we should both the Mamiffer/Oakeater boxes and the A Death Cinematic/Hemingway cdrs all done. Once those get out expect the Wooden Teeth/Demian Johnston splits to be out by the end of August. Hopefully in time for Demian's show with Al Qaeda on August 24th.

This month should be a pretty big month for releases. The long delayed mamiffer/oakeater 2xcs box is coming together. I am waiting on some printing to be done and i need some different screws and it's done. it's pretty amazing. I am really excited for people to see these. There will only be 30 copies total so i would recommend getting in touch with the bands if and when i am sold out. The Sparkle Girl "blind sunfucked eye" cs will also be out around the end of the month. And actually in the new tradition of jumping way ahead in the catalog, the Shining Ones cdr will also be done by the 21st of this month. pretty amazing.
